Reno families have been calling us for 38 years.
We started with one truck on Vassar Street in 1986. We're still on Vassar Street. The fleet's a little bigger now.
Our story
One truck. A reputation built one carpet at a time.
Donnie Hartwell started Acme Cleaners in 1986 with a single truck-mounted unit, a notebook of regulars, and a promise: if the spot comes back, we come back.
Thirty-eight years later we run a fleet of eleven trucks, six of them dedicated to commercial nightly contracts, and one rapid-response van that lives on a tether for water-damage emergencies.
Donnie still rides along on every new technician's first week. We still honor that original promise — written on the truck mount in 1986 and now embroidered on every uniform.
What we stand for

Every truck, every technician, every dispatcher lives in Washoe County. The phone is answered locally during business hours.
Trained, certified, repeated.
Every technician earns the IICRC Carpet Cleaning Technician cert before they ride solo. Our seniors hold Master Cleaner status.
Pet-, child-, and human-safe.
All standard treatments are non-toxic and rinse to neutral. Your kids and pets can be back on the carpet the same afternoon.

Our standard service area is anywhere within a 30-mile radius of our Vassar Street shop. We also serve Carson City, Minden, and Truckee for commercial contracts and large residential jobs.
